Described as a cocktail bar; MJ's is open from 19:30 (7:30 in the evening) till 02:00 (2 in the morning) every night except Monday night when it is closed and is situated in the heart of the old town, just behind the new car park on the Avenida, which has steps leading up to the street level, just 30 seconds away from MJ's entrance on Travessa de Senhora de Graça No. 2.
There is also a lift to the top of the car park, but not to street level. MJ's Bar is in a small pedestrian square surrounded by open air restaurants just 10 seconds from the main street called April 25th.
MJ’s Bar also serves non alcoholic and soft drinks, including fruit punches and so on plus your own private concoction. Just tell Marilyn and it is done.
House Specials come in the form of mouth watering, fruity jugs of fresh fruit Daiquiris: Champons (you have to ask for one to find out) plus all the exotica that goes into the world of shots. Together with a never ending cocktail list, you are guaranteed more than a long slow comfortable screw (yes it is a cocktail) to choose from.
